PURPOSE:To repair quickly, surely and safely the melt-fracture expanded part in the opening of a bottom tuyere of a converter by using a simple installation from the outside of the converter bottom by mounting a refractories supplying pipe for repair into said opening then supplying and packing refractories for repair through said pipe into said melt-fracture expanded part while ejecting gas from a gas blowing pipe. CONSTITUTION:A melt-fractured tuyere H is pulled off and thereafter a fresh tuyere H is mounted on a tuyere receiving brick 7 and a melt-fractured part Y is repaired as follows: A refractories supplying pipe 8 for repair is inserted into the inside pipe 1a of a gas blowing pipe 1 of the tuyere H and the nozzle 8a at the top end of the pipe 8 is projected in the position above the top end the pipe 1a. The tuyere H is inserted into the opening 5 of the brick 7 and fixed. On the other hand, gas supplying pipes 10, 11 are communicated and connected respectively to the bottom ends of the inside pipe 1a and the outside pipe 1b of the pipe 1 and gas such as air is ejected from the top ends thereof. The refractories for repair in a storage tank 14 are supplied uniformly through a supply main pipe 9 and the pipe 8 and are packed into the melt-fractured part Y around the end of the tuyere H from the nozzle 8a, whereby the bottom tuyere of the converter is repaired. |
