PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of an image forming performance by covering the outside circumference of a roof-mirror lens array with a moisture-proof film. CONSTITUTION:When executing the covering, a unit 10 is immersed into a moisture-proof treating liquid 13 such as a liquid silicone resin, a molten paraffin, etc. filled in a vessel 12, so as to be dipped into the treating liquid up to its uppermost part of the side face, with a lens array up, and thereafter, it is drawn up and hardened. The hardened treating liquid forms a moisture-proof treated film 11 on the outside circumferential surface of the unit, and an image forming element is obtained. By executing a moisture-proof treatment in this way, a deformation of a roof-mirror array can be prevented. |
