The invention relates to wheels of this kind, having a support ring which only partially fills up the cavity of the tyre and is only effective in the event of damage. In order to make fitting such a support ring easier, the outer surface of the support ring is formed by a hose, and in addition the wheel has a connection for the insertion of an expandable material into the hose. In the event of damage, the hose which is otherwise spread out flat is thus filled with a blowing agent.
