PURPOSE:To ensure communication between transmission and receiving by providing a means changing over a receiving mode between the automatic and manual receiving modes and changing over the mode into the manual receiving mode when communication is reserved from an opposite device and not responded at the automatic receiving mode to be set so as to change the mode into the manual receiving mode. CONSTITUTION:A CPU, an ROM and an RAM are provided to a controller 12 of a facsimile device and a call signal detecting circuit 1 detecting a call signal and a procedure interrupting signal transmitted from the opposite device via a telephone line is connected to the controller 12. Further, a mode changeover circuit 9 and a telephone button depression detecting circuit 8 or the like are connected to the controller 12 via signal lines 12f, 8a. This changeover circuit 9 changes over the mode of the facsimile device into the automatic receiving mode when the signal line 12f is at a low level and into the manual operation mode when at a high level. Further, if the communication is reserved from the opposite device at the automatic receiving mode to be set and is not responded, the mode is changed over into the manual receiving mode so as to ensure the communication between transmission and receiving. |
