PURPOSE:To prevent the water in a hot water storage tank from running short by a method wherein an alarm is issued and a hot water tap is operated to close so as to take care to stop wasteful hot water supply by judging the completion of a predetermined amount of hot water supply when hot water supply with more than a predetermined flow rate continues for a predetermined period of time. CONSTITUTION:A hot water supply pump 8 to send the hot water in a hot water storage tank 1 under pressure through a hot water supply passage 10 to a hot water tap 11 is provided. A flow switch 12, which turns ON when hot water flows through the hot water supply passage 10 in a storage type hot water supplier having a structure just mentioned above, a timer TM, which outputs an alarm signal when a signal to turn ON received continues for a predetermined period of time, and an alarm device 16, which outputs an alarm on reception of an alarm signal from a timer TM, are provided. The alarm device 16 is energized through a timer by means of said flow switch 12. |
