HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION

The hydraulic installation according to Figure 1 consists of a main utilisation (13) fed by a high-pressure pump (10) and a secondary utilisation (19) fed by a low-pressure pump (16). The low-pressure pump (16) is driven by a turbine (15) arranged in the feed line (12) of the main circuit. Both pumps supply pressure medium from a container (11), which medium flows back to the latter again in the open circuit. The low-pressure pump is expediently a constant pump, e.g. a gear pump which is driven via the turbine until its standstill with an extensively constant torque. The secondary circuit is in this manner supplied with the quantity of pressure medium actually brought. An installation of this type is cheap and causes low power losses.
