PURPOSE:To obtain a resin sealed coil excellent in electrical and mechanical performance by such an arrangement wherein an insulator is provided outside the upper and lower ends of conductive wound layers and a pool of resin is formed by the upper insulator and insulators which are hard to be impregnated with resin are provided inside and outside the layers and a heat shrinkable insulation layer is provided through an insulation layer impregnated with a hardening accelerator. CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 and a lead wire 2b are provided on a wind frame 1 made of heat-resistive board and an insulator 8 which is easy to be impregnated is provided outside the upper and lower ends, and outside the coil, a glass cloth tape 11, a resin holding layer 12 made of aromatic polyamide paper and a glass tape 13 impregnated with a hardening accelerator are provided. A wall 15 of which length corresponds to the amount of shrinkage of resin is formed at the upper portion between the tape 13 and the layer 12 and a pool of resin is provided at the upper portion between the upper end of the wind frame 1 and the insulator 8. The wall 15 is made of the same material as that of the insulator 8. After the lower end of the coil is immersed in the solution of hardening accelerator, it is impregnated with resin under vacuum, the resin is gelled, and it prevents resin not hardened yet from leaking inside and the generation of an area not impregnated, and a coil excellent in electrical and mechanical performance can be obtained and working time can also be reduced. |
