In a valve for pressurized containers, e.g. non-returnable compressed gas bottles, which prevents refilling of the container via the valve, a closure element 5 is during initial filling held away from these at 9 by a deformable ring 6. After filling closure element 5 is forced past ring 6 by plunger 8. Ring 6 deforms to allow the closure element 5 past but prevent its return. Closure element 5 is preferably biassed, e.g. by spring 7 or by magnetic attraction, against valve seat 9. On opening of a further valve 1, gas in the container urges closure elements away from seat 9. Any attempt to refill the container via nozzle 3 will cause closure element 5 to be urged against seat 9. The ring 6 may be integral with the valve body and seat. In other embodiments in which the closure element 5 has various different constructions (Figs. 9 to 11), it is deformable to enable it to pass ring 6. <IMAGE> |
