A picture viewer comprises a housing and a slider, and an exchange mechanism is provided for cyclic change of one picture of a picture stack to be presented at a viewing window. The exchange mechanism comprises a retentive element to hold one picture while the remaining stack is conveyed relative thereto by a separator bar upon withdrawal of the slider. In order to avoid malfunction because of inadvertent displacement of the separated picture relative to the separator bar, means are provided to hold it in alignment with the passage path of the bar. |
