<p>Amine salts of benzimidazole compounds, of the formula <CHEM> wherein R<1> is bromo, chloro, -CF3, -CF2Br, or -CF2Cl; R<2> is perfluoroalkyl of C1-C3 or -CF2-CF2R<3> wherein R<3> is hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl; R<4> is a substituted ammonium cation derived from an organic amine; and n is the valence of R<4>, the said salt having a KOW > 150 in the system octanol/water, are useful as ectoparasiticides and as agents for the control of colonial insects.</p> |
