A method for manufacturing radomes particularly for aircraft and missiles includes a first stage comprising wetting with a resin mix containing polyester resin, hardener catalyst, and an accelerator, several woven glass fibre socks stretched over a generally conical former to form a first laminated structure, curing the resin peeling away the outer sock, repeating the first stage several times to form the required thickness of glass fibre, and finally curing the resin at an elevated temperature after removal from the former. <IMAGE> |
