<p>Rocking type flying shears having a main crank shaft for shearing and a rocking crank shaft which sways a cutter, the shears being provided with a phase converter which permits selective setting of the phase of the rocking crank shaft on either of two phases relative to the main crank shaft. This arrangement enables the shears to perform a shearing operation on a material to be sheared either while it is on the move or in repose.</p> |
