PURPOSE:To prevent shift of ignition timing by suppressing the angular speed shift between cam shaft and distributor shaft due to loosening of universal joint such as Oldham's joint. CONSTITUTION:At the ignition timing of first and fourth cylinders, load is applied from a fuel pump 38 onto a cam 37 of a distributor shaft 18 to push along the circumferential direction of Oldham's joint 19 thus to stabilize the ignition timing of both cylinders. Concerning to second and third cylinders, angular speed of distributor shaft 18 will increase due to loosening of Oldham's joint 19 to cause angular difference theta. When selecting the offset angle of magnetic pole with correspondence to said angular difference, shift of firing timing of all cylinders can be prevented. |
