PURPOSE:To apply power from a host to all subsystems by one command by indicating the application of power supply simultaneously from the host computer to plural subsystems via an optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A global address and a command in common to all loop interface units LIU2 are generated from the host computer 1 and an applied pattern is transmitted to a fiber cable 8. An address identifying circuit 9 of the LIU2 of each subsystem 4 discriminates whether the applied pattern is the own logical address or the global address and generates a power application signal when the pattern is the own pattern. The generated signal is received by a signal converter 3, an application signal is outputted to a power control mechanism 7 assembled in a system 4. The mechanism 7 receiving its application signal turns on a power supply belonging to it. |
