In a vacuum filter system provided with an endless conveying belt (1), the conveying belt (1) is reinforced by tension-resistant fabric inserts (9) and is provided with at least one longitudinally running row (6) of holes. The conveying belt (1) comprises two single belts which are of approximately the same thickness and are connected to each other over their entire length by hot curing or by cold bonding. Each single belt of the conveying belt (1) has, in its central region, a row (6) of holes and, on its carrying side, transversely running grooves (7) which are inclined towards the row (6) of holes of the respective single belt of the conveying belt (1). Furthermore, each single belt of the conveying belt (1) has two fabric inserts (9) which are arranged such that the conveying belt (1) has a fabric-free zone on its two edges, in the region of the connecting seam (10) of the two single belts and in the region of the two rows (6) of holes.
