PURPOSE:To prevent filming of a toner by incorporating an epoxy type toner in carrier particles coated with a butadiene polymer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic brush developer for use in a laser printer is obtained by coating a carrier base of iron particles with a butadiene polymer contg. dispersed Fe3O4 powder as a charge controller to form carrier particles having electric conductivity near to conductors, and mixing 1-6wt% toner particles (based on the carrier) made of an epoxy resin contg. a styrene-n-butyl acrylate resin. A suitable epoxy resin for a chief component of the toner is an epichlorohydrin type resin contg. <=4wt% bisphenol A glycidyl ether of 0 polymn. degree, and having 60-160 deg.C and 1,000-10,000 weight average mol.wt. |
