PURPOSE:The titled vaccine comprising a pilus layer of a bacterium having periodontitis induction ability and pilus on the surface of mold or its extract as an antigen. CONSTITUTION:A vaccine for preventing periodontitis comprising a pilus layer of a bacterium [e.g., Actinomyces viscosus variant K-TL + strain (FERM-P 6516), Bacteroides gingivalis strain K-B g-ml strain (FERM-P 6516), etc.] having periodontitis (a wide range of inflammation extending to gum, peridental membrane, cementum, alceolar bone) induction ability and pilus on the surface of mold or its extract as an antigen. A dose of the vaccine is 0.2-1.0ml/persion per time by hypodermic or intramuscular injection, especially injection to mucocsa in the oral cavity. When the vaccine is administered, an immune antibody is formed in a body of human or animal, especially in spittle. |
