PURPOSE:To prevent any leakage of electrolyte from terminal sections by applying a sealing agent to parts of terminal leads before they are covered with polyamide system resin rings, being followed by pressing the resin rings with metallic rings before an epoxy resin is molded around each of the thus obtained bodies. CONSTITUTION:Metallic terminal lead bodies 7' and 8' made of nickel, after being coated with a sealing agent 9 made of blown asphalt, are covered with nylon rings 10 coated with blown asphalt. Next the nylon rings 10 are pressed with nickel rings 10 to bring the metallic terminal lead bodies 7' and 8' into close contact with the nylon rings 10. After that an epoxy resin 12 is molded around each of the thus obtained bodies. As a result, owing to the pressure applied with the metallic rings 11, the nylon rings 10 become in close contact with the surfaces of the metallic terminal lead bodies 7' and 8' through the sealing agent 9 thereby preventing any permeation of electrolyte. In addition, these relationships are reinforced with the epoxy resin 12, thereby remarkably increasing the liquid-leakage resistance of the battery. |
