PURPOSE:To suppress the increase of contact resistance between an electrode and a resistor by changing the composition of the boundary layer of a fixing roll continuously or stepwise. CONSTITUTION:When melt-spraying the resistor onto an electrode material, resistor melt-spray powder containing the electrode material to some degree is melt-sprayed at first. Then, the content of the resistor material is increased gradually, and finally, the film of 100% resistor material is melt-sprayed. The same applies to the case where the electrode material is melt-sprayed onto the resistor material. A TiO2 film is plasma melt-sprayed onto an Al2O3 pipe to a thickness of about 50mum. Then, a material containing about 75wt% of stainless steel to TiO2 is sprayed to the thickness of about 15mum. Next, a material containing about 50wt% of stainless steel is sprayed to the thickness of 10mum. Finally, 100wt% of stainless steel is melt-sprayed to the thickness of about 150mum. This is left in the atmosphere of temperature 30 deg.C and humidity 85% for 100 days to suppress the increase of the contact resistance between the electrode and resistor. |
