PURPOSE:To facilitate the inspection of an arranged pipe in a narrow place, by providing a sensor capable of performing automatic scanning through the moisture automatic scanning through the moisture penetrated into a semi-permeable membrane to the leading end of an arm along the arranged pipe while providing a means capable of attaching and detaching the sensor relative to the arranged pipe to the other end of the arm. CONSTITUTION:In performing the ultrasonic flaw detection of an arranged pipe 1 positioned at a deep place among arranged pipe groups 1A-1E arranged at narrow intervals, the drive part 15 with a probe 19 attached to the leading end of an arm 12 is mounted to the arranged pipe 1 by operating a handle 11. In parallel to this operation, in order to run only the drive part 15, the arm 12 is separated from a flange 14 by operating the handle 11. Thereafter, ultrasonic flaw detection is performed while the drive part 15 is run along the arranged pipe 1 by rotating a motor 20 by a remote operation through a cable. In this case, semi-permeable membranes 50, 51 each filled with water are provided to the inner surfaces of a main body 60 and a pawl 16 under the tension and inspection is performed only by moisture penetrated into each surface thereof. By this method, the inspection of the arranged pipe in a narrow place is facilitated. |
