PURPOSE:To manufacture an image pickup tube with more excellent resolution by tightly forming sealing metals such as indium and Cerasolzer on the inner surface of a ring made of resin and covered with a coat of nonferromagnetic metal. CONSTITUTION:Resin is used in a ring that supports sealing metals instead of stainless steel. A ring made of resin such as Duracon is used. For example, an annular body with the outside diameter of 14.8-28.5mm., inside diameter of 14.0- 26.9mm., and width of 2.0-3.2mm. is created by an injection molding machine. Then degreasing treatment, the etching treatment by mineral acid mixed liquid, the sensitizing treatment by stannous chloride solution, and the activation treatment by palladium chloride solution are performed sequentially and nonferromagnetic metals such as tin, indium, and aluminum and their alloys are coated with nonelectrolytic plating liquid. Subsequently, sealing metals such as indium and Cerasolzer are tightly formed on the inner surface by the forging method, punching method, and punching crimp method, etc. |
