PURPOSE:To provide a lead-out terminal easily and to use inexpensive metal as its material by providing a magneto-resistance element which contacts the top surface of the lead-out terminal and the top surface of a substrate and a protection film which covers the top surface of the substrate, the top surface of the lead-out terminal, and the magneto-resistance element. CONSTITUTION:The lead-out terminal 11 is arranged with its top surface 12 in level with the top surface 13 of the substrate 10. In a figure, 14 is the magneto- resistance element, which is formed by a pattern by sputtering, vapor deposition, or ion plating so that the element contacts the top surface 12 of the lead-out terminal 11 and the top surface 13 of the substrate 10. Further, 15 is the protection film made of, for example, SiO2, which covers the top surface 13 of the substrate 10, the top surface 12 of the lead-out terminal 11, and the magneto- resistance element 14. The magnetic detecting element constituted as mentioned above has the lead-out terminal 11 embedded in the substrate 10 without pattern formation, so the terminal is provided easily without any troublesome operation such as sputtering, vapor deposition, ion plating, etc. |
