PURPOSE:To obtain a commutator for a rotary electric machine having excellent rectifying characteristic by forming a polyimide resin molded plate which contains inorganic fiber as an insulating plate between commutator segments. CONSTITUTION:Since an insulating plate is molded with polyimide resin which contains inorganic fiber such as glass, has heat resistance slightly deteriorated as compared with a segment mica but can be obtained by compression molding, the plate having constant thickness, good close adherence and ready manufacture of a molded plate with necessary thickness. Further, since the plate does not use bonding adhesive, it does not require the operation of seasoning, and has strong property against exfoliation and buckling. |
