PURPOSE:To prevent blurring with an ink filling so much into the cell of a gravure cylinder by using an inking apparatus of a rotary press contact type in a gravure rotary printing press replacing the dipping type. CONSTITUTION:A printing is done as an impression roll 1 is pressed to feed a printing web (a) to a gravure cylinder 2. The ink C which is fed to an ink fountain 5 between the gravure cylinder 2 and a press roll 4 pressing on the side thereof from a pump P is supplied through an opening 6' of a pipe 6 opened above the ink fountain 5 while the remaining ink is received with an ink tray 7 to fed to the pump P once purified with a filter (f) in the course. At this point, though the gravure cylinder 2 and the press roll 4 rotate forward, the surfaces thereof move in the opposite direction to each other at the contact section thereof whereby ink is forced into empty cells 3' on the gravure cylinder stably without touching air. |
