CORRECTING METHOD OF SPLINED SHAFT

PURPOSE:To correct the outside diameter of a splined shaft with good workability and accuracy by pressurizing the splined shaft and passing the same through a splined nut. CONSTITUTION:The outside diameter of a splined nut 3 is worked and is press- fitted into a heated holding ring 4, then the ring is allowed to cool to an ordinary temp. A pressure is exerted on a splined shaft 1 to pass the shaft about 1-3 times through the nut 3 thereby reducing and correcting the outside diameter thereof. The finish working of the shaft 1 is thus remarkably improved and the working method thereof requires just passing of the shaft through the splined nut, whereby the splined shaft is easily corrected.
