PURPOSE:To send out both-surface information of an original by time facsimile transmission by arranging optical systems on both surfaces, turning on light sources alternately, and reading optical information on both surfaces through a single read sensor. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 30 turns on and off fluorescent lamps 21 and 31 alternately at a speed matching with the readout speed of the original. In this case, the information is sent by individual optical systems up to a mirror 24 and through a common optical path after the mirror 24. A controller 26 reads out the information synchronizing with the alternate turning-on operation of the lamps. Further, the circuit 30 drives a roller 34 according to the speed of transmission to a circuit to convey the original. Pieces of scanning information on the upper and rear surfaces of the original 4 are outputted alternately by the controller 26 and transmit signals to the circuit are also sent out alternately. |
