<p>PURPOSE:To close through-holes of a synthetic resin holed pipe positively so as to prevent water leakage trouble, by collapsing the through-holes at the end of the holed pipe, and closing the open ends of the through-holes at the collapsed section by a sealing material. CONSTITUTION:An end of the synthetic resin holed pipe 1 having a plurality of the through-holes 14 extending longitudinally between an outer wall layer and an inner wall layer 12 of the pipe wall with a partition wall 13 between the through-holes 14 is heated to be softened. Then with core members 51 of an inner mold 5 diametrically reduced, an enlarged section of the inner mold 5 is inserted into a prescribed position of the end of the pipe 1, then a tapered member 53 is moved in a direction as shown by the arrow to diametrically enlarge the core members 51, and at the same time the outer diameter 4 is reduced, so that projections 41, 511 extrude cooperatively the outer wall layer 11 and the inner wall layer 12 to collapse the through-holes 14. Thereafter the outer mold 4 and the inner mold 5 are removed. Then a cap 2 that is filled with a sealing material 3 and has an outer flange 21 and an inner flange 22 is fitted to the open end part of the pipe so that the sealing material 3 is allowed to enter the open ends of the through-holes 14 to close them.</p> |
