PURPOSE:To uniformly disperse carbon black into plastic which is used as a base material, suppress generation of dendrite, decrease specific resistance, and increase discharge voltage and voltage efficiency by using carbon black obtained by grafting polymerizable vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:Carbon black is grafted with polymerizable vinyl monomer prior to being mixed with plastic. Polymerizable vinyl monomers are acrylic acid, acrylic ester, vinyl acetate, acrylamide, acrylonitrile, styrene, vinylpyridine, N- vinylcarbazole, and others. Carbon black obtained by this treatment increases compatibility with plastic and dispersibility into plastic, and troubles caused by generation of dendrite is prevented. Moreover, by immersing carbon black into bromine solution prior to grafting, the effect is increased. |
