PURPOSE:To secure the size reduction, weight reduction, and the reliability improvement of a turning-off circuit by suppressing a transient rise in voltage developed across a pulse transformer in turning-off operation through a constant-voltage diode. CONSTITUTION:When a transistor 6 (TR) turns off, the collector-emitter voltage fo the TR6 rises by the stored energy of the exciting inductance, etc., of the pulse transformer 6, but that is limited by the constant voltage diode connected between the collector and emitter in parallel. Thus, the TR6 is protected against an overvoltage. |
