<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the variation in the output voltage of a flywheel generator by raising the output voltage of the generator higher than a reference value at energizing time when the generator is operated to energize or interrupt a heavy load and setting it to low value at the interrupting time. CONSTITUTION:The output of a flywheel generator 1 is applied through an AC/ DC converter 8 to a load 9 necessary for large power by a plasma heater for a nuclear fusion experiment unit in a short time. At this time the load 9 is energized and interrupted through a load controller 12 by an operation controller 11, a positive or negative voltage signal is outputted from a signal converter 13 for the prescribed period, added by an adder 14 to the reference voltage, thereby controlling a field power source 7. Accordingly, the voltage of the generator is automatically set to a value higher than the reference value at the heavy load energizing time and lower at the interrupting time, thereby reducing the variation in the voltage upon energizing or interrupting to improve the controllability.</p> |
