PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to consider a jump in memory address which occurs when memory packages differing in the number of words are packaged together on a software side, by making addresses continuous automatically on a hardware side. CONSTITUTION:Selectors 307-309 which are applied with plural selection signals for selecting IC chip arrays from decoders 301 and 302 and output them selectively, and word-number discriminating means which output signals for discriminating the numbers of words of memories are provided to respective memory packages, and memory blocks 313-315 which apply the discrimination signals to selection signal terminals of the selectors 307-309 and switch chip array selection signals, and an arithmetic circuit 316 which outputs a switching signal for switching block specifying signals of the selectors 310-312 from the discrimination signals are provided. Thus, when memory packages differing in the number of words are packaged together, block selection and chip selection are determined automatically with continuation to a carry of the address. |
