PURPOSE:To obtain a crystal oscillator which has superior frequency temperature characteristics and shock resistance by forming an oscillation part and supporting parts in one body, selecting an optimum cutting angle and an optimum side ratio, and arranging an exciting electrode over the entire surface of the oscillation part and mounting them on a supporting pedestal. CONSTITUTION:The oscillation part 1 and supporting parts 2 arranged on both sides are formed in one body. The excellent temperature characteristics are obtained by selecting an about 48-53 deg. cutting angle theta of the oscillator while theta= (+ or -45-55 deg.) or an about 0.9-1.2 side ratio. Exciting electrodes 16 and 17 are arranged uniformly on the upper and lower surfaces of the oscillation part 15 of the crystal oscillator 14; the exciting electrode 16 extends to one supporting part and the exciting electrode 17 extends to the other supporting part. Further, the oscillator 90 is mounted on the supporting pedestal to improve the shock resistance. |
