PURPOSE:To improve the precision of head positioning at the inner circumference of a disk by providing a servo head at the radial position of the innermost circumferential head among plural heads. CONSTITUTION:The servo head 3 is provided at the radial position (at distance L3 from a carriage reference surface) of the innermost head among data heads 5 on the same disk surface. Consequently, the excellent head positioning precision is obtained at the inner circumferential side of the disk where the recording density is high. |
