The invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular an evaporator, having a tubular jacket (1), a plurality of inner tubes (2) extending in an axially parallel fashion thereto, and spacers (3) which are inserted therebetween spaced from one another in the longitudinal direction and which are constructed in each case as a baffle extending helically in the longitudinal direction and having at least one turn.
<??>In order to simplify the assembly of the inner tubes in the tubular jacket, it is proposed according to the invention to arrange the spacers (3) coaxially in the tubular jacket (1), each spacer (3) having a number of recesses (4) shaped approximately like circular sectors which corresponds to the number of the inner tubes (2), and the envelope circle of the inner tubes (2) being equal to the inside diameter of the tubular jacket (1) (Fig. 1).
