PURPOSE:To stabilize conditions during dispersion in an intermediate layer and the electrical characteristics and to allow the layer to show a sensitizing effect, a crystallization inhibiting effect and a flexibility improving effect due to the improved adhesive property by forming the intermediate layer on an electrically conductive support by dispersing fine particles of a disazo pigment in an insulating resin and by forming a photoconductive Se layer on the intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer contg. fine particles of an org. pigment dispersed in an insulating resin and a photoconductive layer of Se, an Se alloy or an Se compound are successively formed on an electrically conductive support to obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body. At this time, a disazo pigment represented by the general formula (where each of X and Ar is an optionally substituted aromatic or heterocyclic ring such as a benzene ring) is used as the org. pigment. |
