METHOD FOR REMOVING CLOGGING OF POWDER IN TUYERE

PURPOSE:To remove the powder which clogs the inside of a tuyere sticking to the inside surface thereof by inserting a suction pipe into the tuyere from the end of the tuyere on the outside of a furnace until the end of the suction pipe arrives at the part clogged with the powder and connecting the opposite end of the suction pipe to a suction source. CONSTITUTION:A suction pipe 1 is inserted into an inside pipe 13 until the left end of the pipe 1 arrives at the position facing the lumped powder 20 sticking to the inside of the pipe 13. The right end of the pipe 1 is extended to the outside of a tuyere 11 and is connected to an ejector 2. The ejector 2 consists of a pipe 2 connected to the right end of the pipe 1 with an inclination at a prescribed angle. When a fluid (f) such as high pressure air or the like is passed in the ejector at a high speed from its one end, the ejector sucks the gas in the right end 1F of the pipe 1 and generates continuously a low pressure in this part, thereby sucking the powder 20 from the left end of the pipe 1.
