PURPOSE:To incorporate an extremely simple amplifier in a magnetic disk device by providing plural amplifiers which amplify an input signal, storage device stored with the amplification factors of said plural amplifiers, and an arithmetic method which corrects the amplification factors. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic disk device 1 consists of plural magnetic disks 2, magnetic heads 3 mounted for respective surfaces of the magnetic disks 2, a carriage 5 mounting those magnetic heads 2, and a voice coil motor 6 which is connected to the carriage 5 and operates the magnetic heads 3 in circumferential directions of the magnetic disks 2. Respective amplified values corresponding to the magnetic heads are stored in registers 9. The storage device 10, on the other hand, is stored with the amplification factors of preamplifiers 4 corresponding to the magnetic heads 3. Namely, the contents of the respective register 9 and the contents of the storage device 10 are stored in an arithmetic device 11 and the contents of the registers 9 are corrected by the contents of the storage device 10. |
