PURPOSE:To enhance printing resistance by incorporating a silane coupling agent in one of photoconductive layers, consisting substantially of an alkali-soluble resin, except a layer adjacent to a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A silane coupling agent is incorporated in a layer consisting substantially of an alkali-soluble resin in photoconductive layers except the layer adjacent to a substrate. The photoconductive layers are formed adjacently to the substrate, and to uniformly incorporate the silane coupling agent in this photoconductive layer, it is preferable to control its amt. to <=5.0wt% of the total solid wt. of the layer. The substrate is coated with a dispersion prepared by dispersing a photoconductive org. pigment into a soln. dissolving the alkali-soluble resin, etc., then adding the silane coupling agent into the dispersion stirring it, and the surface of the preceding coat is again coated with the second dispersion and dried. The silane coupling agent is typified by an organosilane compd. represented by the formula: RnSiX(4-n). |
