Method of manufacturing the corrugated toothed region of the magnetic circuit of an electric machine, in the course of which a strip of ferromagnetic material is cut up into rough castings 7, transverse slits 6 are made in quincunx configuration in each rough casting 7 starting from the opposing edges of the latter, the distance between two slits 6 transverse to one of the edges of the rough casting being almost equal to two lengths C of the magnetic circuit and together with the rough casting 7 there are formed a slot channel 9 and its corrugation following lines passing through the transverse slits 6, so as to form links with the bend lines, characterised in that each rough casting 7 is produced with a wire sheet 2 whose strands are laid out across the rough casting 7 and with at least one ferromagnetic strip 3 laid out along the length of the rough casting 7 against one of the faces of the latter, the width of this strip 3 being equal to the height of the teeth of the toothed region. <IMAGE>
