PURPOSE:To maintain a distance between a friction pad and a disc plate during non-braking and to prevent the occurrence of drag of a brake and one-sided wear of the pad, by installing a restoring mechanism, which is freely moved and has a specified drawback distance, and a pressure oil resucking valve. CONSTITUTION:With a piston 13 operated, a body 11 is moved in a reverse direction along a sleeve 6 by the reaction of the piston. Thereafter, a device is released from an oil pressure, a valve member 36 is pushed back through the elastic restoring force of a spring 44, pressure oil equivalent to a volume proportioned to a section (x) is resucked from a caliper cylinder chamber 12 to a valve cylinder chamber 32 during restoration, and the piston 13 is forcibly pulled back by a distance DELTAl. Further, movement of the body 11 is brought to a stop after a ring 19 is brought into contact with a slip ring 17 at a moving distance DELTAl1 occasioned by friction resistance of an inner peripheral side edge 17a of the ring 17. A roll back distance DELTAl=DELTAl1+DELTAl1 is normally kept constant, and a distance between a pad and a disc may be properly maintained. |
