PURPOSE:To enable to realize the easy and sure lubrication by a structure wherein the clearance adjusting means of a plurality of valve lifters located between bearings to support camshafts are connected to oil passages formed on the respective bearing parts, which are connected to each other through oil passages bored inside the respective camshafts. CONSTITUTION:Respective camshafts 1 and 2, which are employed in a two- cylinder engine and provided on the top surface of a cylinder head 3, are supported by the bearings parts 5 of a plurality of valve caps 9 fixed to the cylinder head 3 by means of bolts 9. Inserting holes, through which stud bolts 7a used for fastening said cylinder head 3 to a cylinder 8 is inserted, is utilized as oil passages 11 so as to communicate to oil wells 7c. Each oil passage 11 is connected through a connecting oil passage 15 to the oil well 7c of the other cylinder side. A plurality of the bearing parts 5 are fed with oil through the radial holes 14 and axial holes 12 of the respective shafts 1 and 2 from the oil wells 7c. Finally, the lubricating oils in the respective oil wells 7c are fed to valve lifter clearance adjusting means through the feed oil passages, oil wells, and oil holes. |
