A backing head (1) for a working disc with an end plate (2), on the end face of which integrally formed adhesive elements (3) sit, with a bell-shaped extension (4) of the backing plate as well as a shaft connection for slipping onto a drive shaft or a drive flange. The technical problem of the invention is an articulated design of the backing head, which articulated design permits smooth yielding. A driving sleeve (5) with an outer profile and an inner polygonal profile (6) is moulded in the extension (4). A driving part sits inside the driving sleeve (5) and is adapted to the inner polygonal profile (6). The driving part is supported in such a way as to yield in the axial direction of the driving sleeve (5). A driving pin (9) is connected to the driving part in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation. Furthermore, an injection moulding tool for producing the said backing head is proposed. <IMAGE>
