The invention relates to the field of the electrical engineering industry. The lamellar electrode according to the invention contains an active compound which is pressed onto a metal separating wall (base surface) and is accommodated between perforated metal strips which are connected to the side edges, and attachment means, which are produced from an electrically conductive material and pass through the perforated metal strips, the active compound and the metal separating wall. Profiled grooves are pressed into the active compound and the perforated metal strips. The method for producing the electrode according to the invention comprises the preparation of the active compound, the production of the perforated metal strips, the fitment of the active compound on the metal base surface, and the compression of the same at least to a value which prevents the active compound crumbling away from the metal base surface, the connection of the side edges of the perforated metal strips to form an extensive half-finished product, the extrusion pressing of the half-finished product with the pressing of the profiled grooves therein, the penetration of the half-finished product by the attachment means consisting of an electrically conductive material, the splitting of the half-finished product into plates, and the provision of edging on the plates at the separating point.
