PURPOSE:To enable regeneration of a tar product remover, by a method wherein a flow-in port and a flow-out port, through which a tar product cleansing liquid flows in and out, are formed in a tar product remover mounted on a fuel passage. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection port 9 and an ejection port 10 are formed in a device container 8 of a tar product remover 4, and filters 11 are situated on both end surfaces. A flow-in port 12, a flow-out port 13, through which regenerated cleansing liquid flows in and out, are formed and a device container 8 is filled with a tar product removing material 14. The tar product removing material 14 consists of one component or mainly of one component of metallic oxide, such as alumina, silica, magnesia, ferrite, a basic substance, such as calcium hydroxide, an absorbent, such as zeolite, and a hydrolizing agent. |
