A weighing apparatus, in particular a platform-type weighing apparatus, is equipped with two transducer beams. Each transducer beam is held at a distance from a lower plate by a spacer, so that both transducer beams project to form a total of four transducer beams, one at each beam end. The load is introduced into each transducer beam, which is preferably arranged in the vicinity of a corner of the loading plate, via a loading arm and a ball and cup loading device. Preferably, the ball and the cup loading device are arranged above the end of the transducer beam concerned and below the loading plate. Because the supporting feet are vertically aligned with the load introduction point, the arrangement is substantially free of unintended loadings, including flexural loadings, as a result of which a very light construction is possible. Because the overload stop is also aligned vertically with the load introduction point, the transducer beam also becomes free of any moment when the overload stop comes into operation. <IMAGE> |
