PURPOSE:To reduce working man-hour and to permit free selection of the material for metallic foil in mounting of a heat exchanger by putting corrugated metallic foil coated thereon with a self-adhesive agent on a pipe heat exchanger on a plate-shaped mounting member, pressing the same with a rubber press and fixing the assembly in tight contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:Metallic foil fed from a bobbin 1 is coated thereon with a self- adhesive type hot melt resin by a head. The foil is corrugated by heated forming rolls 10, 11 and the resin 9 is melted by a hot air device 13 and is cut to a prescribed length by cutters 14, 15. The cut foil is fed to a conveyor 16. A heat exchanger 20 is placed on the plate-shaped mounting member in a receiving base 18, and the corrugated metallic foil 2 is put thereon by upsetting 17 of the conveyor 16. The three are joined together by rolling down 24 with a rubber press, whereby they are fixed in tight contact with each other. This method may be practised by a simple batch type. The need for conventional stages such as rivetting, spot welding, etc. is eliminated and the stage is simplified. The material of the metallic foil is freely selectable and the appearance is improved. |
