PURPOSE:To shorten a data transmission time when an error occurs in transmission and to transmit a long telegraphic message at a high speed by resending only a telegraphic message following the part where the error occurs in transmission when the error in transmission is detected on a transmission side. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, a data area is initialized. Then, a terminal controller decides on whether there is a telegraphic message to be sent to another terminal device or not. When there is the telegraphic message to be sent, transmission processing is performed, and when not, the decision on whether reception is possible or not is made; when the reception is possible, telegraphic message reception is performed. Whether there is a telegraphic message to be sent or not is judged by checking a transmission flag by a transmission controller and this transmission flag is cleared by the transmission controller after the telegraphic message transmission processing is completed. A sent character is compared with a character sent from the reception side, and when an error in the transmission is detected, the transmission is stopped immediately to resend the character concerned in the transmission error. |
