In a data receiver, a complex data signal after demodulation and sampling is applied to an equalizer (15) which provides an improved signal xn which is applied to a phase and amplitude correction circuit (17) for correction utilizing a complex reference vector (vn). The corrected signal is applied to a decision circuit (19) the input and output of which are applied to a difference determinator circuit (21), the output of which is a complex residual error signal (dn) utilized in conjunction with a plurality of gain factors ( gamma 0, gamma 1, delta 0, delta 1) generated in a gain factors generator (24) to determine the reference vector (vn). The gain factors ( gamma 0, gamma 1, delta 0, delta 1) vary in time from transmission initialization such that optimal compensation for transmission disturbances is achieved both at initialization and after stabilization. |
