PURPOSE:To permit a tire to be inflated without restricting a rim width by installing a slidable cylindrical member so as to be attached onto the outer peripheral surface of a rim flange in slidable ways and so that the top edge is attached onto a tire side, in the captioned apparatus for inspecting a tire which uses a multistage rim. CONSTITUTION:A ring member 5 larger than the ouside diameter of a flange 1a is installed onto the upper surface of an upper flange 1a, and a cylindrical member 7 is fitted in slidable ways through a seal member 6, and the top edge of the cylindrical member 7 is attached onto a tire side part 9 by the urging force of an elastic member 10 through a sealing member 8. With such constitution, the sealing member 8 is always attached onto the tire side part 9 by the dead weight of the cylindrical member 7 and the force of the elastic member 10, and therefore, the leak of inflating air is prevented, and an upper-side bead B can be fitted onto an upper-side rim 2a by the pressure applied onto the tire side part 9. Thus, the center deflection due to the sliding abrasion of the rim is prevented, and the tire can be inflated, without restricting the width of the rim. |
