PURPOSE:To prevent oil pressure in a shock absorber from being increased and to obtain stable controllability and good riding comfort by making an oil port in a damper case so that the oil in the damper case may communicate with that in an upper case. CONSTITUTION:In order to relieve the oil pressure in a shock absorber, a sealed upper case 11 is installed in a slidable manner on a damper case 5 whose one end is fixed to the outer periphery of an upper joint metal 4 and the other end is set on the outer periphery of a cylinder 3. An oil port 12 is made on the upper part of the damper case 5 so that the proper quantity of oil stored in the upper case 11 may communicate with that in an oil sump C. The air with appropriate pressure is enclosed in the upper part of the upper case in order to give a certain pressure to the oil in the shock absorber. A tank 13 is divided into a low pressure chamber E and a high pressure chamber F via a damper 15, and the low pressure chamber E is connected to an air chamber D.
